To fully appreciate Sóller one should take the old train from Palma which zigzags its way up through olive and orange trees that cover the slopes of the Tramuntana Mountains. After an hour’s journey of spectacular views one can catch the tram through the streets of the village down to the port, from where boat trips leave to Sa Calobra, Sant Elm and the island of Dragonera.
